Overview
CoachSync is a platform designed to optimize and streamline the coaching experience. It provides tools for scheduling, progress tracking, and communication, enabling coaches, athletic staff, and students to manage their roles efficiently across both web and mobile interfaces.
The Challenge
CoachSync's early beta customer—a school athletic department—needed a way to manage multiple user roles, such as athletic administrators, coaches, students, and parents, within a single platform. Their goal was to centralize communication and task management while ensuring appropriate access control. With mobile usage on the rise among students, they also needed a responsive mobile solution without compromising user experience.
Our Solution
To meet these needs, we implemented a hierarchical permission structure that distinguished between roles like admin, head coach, assistant coach, student, and parent. The system reused pages across user types, adapting functionality as needed. On the mobile side, we transformed the web app into a responsive mobile app using Natively and dynamic URLs, avoiding heavy reliance on custom states to ensure smooth navigation and a consistent experience.

The Results
CoachSync successfully launched as both a web and mobile platform, balancing usability across devices. The newly added hierarchical structure allowed administrators to manage teams and users effectively, while coaches and students could interact seamlessly within their respective interfaces. The solution retained their beta customer and positioned CoachSync to scale with future clients in the athletic space.
